Where was Vasco da Gama born?

On 8 July 1497 off the coast of Portugal, with 4 ships and 170 men, set sail south of the Cape of Good Hope to find India and explore new trade opportunities as they arose. and arrived there on 22 November, heading north with some sailors and stopping at trading ports. On reaching Malini port on 14 April 1498, he came to know about the direction of India from the local citizen there. After this, Vasco da Gama’s camp moved towards India with the help of monsoon winds.
